2022.01.25 10:58 FindingSublimity Furniture you can hide in when sensory overloaded?
When I was a child I used to hide under the bed or in the closet, somewhere small and dark, to calm down.
As an adult, I haven't been able to find something similar. For me, it doesn't have the same effect to lay in bed with earplugs and closed curtains. I want to be able to lay down in a small space.
Recently, I've been toying with the thought of buying a furniture, for example a bed box I can hide in.
But there should be better ways?? Does anyone have any tips, for similar issues that you've solved in a better way? I can't find anything properly designed for this purpose. Whenever I google I only find tents and things for children to calm down in.
I need something for adults, which also doesn't look weird or draw unwanted attention.

2022.01.25 10:58 JasonG777 Level Baseline
Once you achieve a level (Platinum 1, Gold 2, etc) you should not be able to be de-ranked down below it. This is what is causing better ranked players who don't have a team they can always play with to be trapped with lower ranking ones. You get assigned to a team with levels and they continually de-rank you.

Hi, Some of my general interests are politics, keeping up with news, gaming, memes and in general watching random things on YouTube. I don't mind someone that has different hobbies than me, it makes it more interesting when it comes to exploring new things. A rough description of me is that I'm white, 6 feet tall, skinny and live in New York state. If interested feel free to DM, take care

2022.01.25 10:58 Lilp0is0n I feel like a scam because I can't fill my hours at work, 20% of the day I'm doing nothing and I feel stressed/guilty because of it.
I started my first full time job after university some months ago. The job is pretty individual so I do not see anyone all week. I make my own schedule, fill my days with a handful of projects on construction site/at home/at HQ. I love it because 1. I'm NOT social 2. It's a very interesting and varying job 3. I get paid very well. 4. Flexible hours aka nobody even checks what I'm doing as long as my projects run well so I could take a holiday as long as I'd pick up when called. "Problem" is that I have trouble filling my hours. I'm supposed to work a 40-hour week but like today, I'm done by midday. Tomorrow I've got nothing planned so I'll visit some sites which is practically useless, if only to fill my time&show my face. I feel like I'm forgetting some important aspect or not doing things correctly and over time the problems just keep packing on until they escalate into a big problem and it will show I'm a fraud. Also nothing more boring than showing up to a construction site at 7am to let contractors in and twiddling your thumbs in the cold for hours until they're done and you can sign their papers. Nothing I can do to keep busy, not even answering mails and such. I've told my boss this several times the past weeks. He gives me some task of 1-2 hours and the next day it's the same problem. Can't take over much from co-workers because their projects are all very specific and companies we work for don't want the info to just spread to all contractors (us). I do try to get some trainings or learn about some topics to fill my hours but it just feels unproductive. I don't have to log my hours, my projects are running smoothly so they're happy with me, even got a raise last week.
I feel like a scam. The job is awesome and the company too, I think it's the best opportunity I'm gonna get. I don't want to be doing nothing and "fall behind" or feel unacomplished or anything. It just gives me anxiety to do nothing while I'm being paid to do something.
I'm sure a lot of you will also tell me to be happy I'm "exploiting the system" or some /antiwork stuff, but I feel guilty to be earning more than my friends who do manual labor or something and are paid way less while I'm here doing nothing. I'm sure after working some years I'll be happy to be working less but I was/am genuinely excited to be working here and learning more. So I'm sorry for the long rant.

2022.01.25 10:58 marygracevt Work-life balance in the PR/communications field?
Hi everyone- so I just graduated from college and am looking for a job in the communications field (mainly pr jobs, but also communications coordinator, social media manager, content manager, etc) and I’m just curious about what the work-life balance in these fields is like as I’ve heard mixed things. I’m definitely not afraid of working later than expected or working on weekends (I actually kind of like working on weekends because I’m someone who needs structure in their free time) but I’m just curious about what I’m getting into. How often would you say you work on weekends? How often are you in the office (or working on something from home) past 7pm on weekday? Thank you in advance for your input! :)
